Always a mixture of trepidation and excitement. It’s not quite the same as a record release. Music making is always a sociable thing, a celebration of mutual creativity; writing is famously solitary, and although lots of people are involved in realising the end product (thankyou Yale UP – fantastic job as always) in the end it’s all down to you. So far it’s been terrific fun. Keep an ear open for the History Extra podcast, New Books Network, Not Just the Tudors and the History Rage podcast (which will go out as a Christmas special). More details of these nearer the time. In the run up to Christmas I’ll be taking part in various ‘events’, some with choirs actually singing carols.  These are the dates in the diary so far:
